What is something you learned (or had to re-learn) in 2025? New skills, insights, life lessons that could be worth sharing with the rest of the forum.
For me: I've been forced to relearn how important sleep hygiene is and that it is something that can fall away slowly resulting in misery. Maintaining a consistent be time is a chore but one that does make for a happier life.
- I actually don't want to have a job ever again. I love my new situation and business too much.
- I learned that “vibe coding” works surprisingly well if you bias hard toward shipping. That approach helped me build and launch https://dreamlux.ai much faster than if I’d waited for a “perfect” plan.
- I started learning Rust more actively and then WebAssembly, via building https://github.com/agis/wadec.
I plan to continue doing that in 2026.
- The importance of working out and how it affects your mind positively.
- I learned to write my own WebSocket library more than 2 years ago. Last year I learned to write a web server that did HTTP and streamed redirection from the same ports as WebSockets. This past year I learned to do everything else, like all the OS related things, in my personal app:
- importance of always validating ideas in business before created a full fledged tool - saves time, money, and you get an idea of the market you are penetrating
- The AI,time management and much about the business.
